What is the best color hair jig for muddy and clear water?
What is the best color hair jig for muddy and clear water? I just got into jig tying but I don't really know what are good colors?
If the water you plan to fish is a green tone use more of a green tone hair if its dark use dark colors light light colors the reason for this is because a fish see's a bright contrasting bait in the dark water it looks foreign and not a natural source of food. however in dark water fish use smell and sound more than sight and in clear water its sight. I have personally tested this in lakes by me with trout.
